Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced Litigation Services Attorney to join their Litigation Services team. The role focuses on providing high-level legal analysis, procedural expertise, and strategic guidance for both state and federal court matters. The attorney will support the litigation team by ensuring compliance with court rules, managing deadlines, and advising on complex legal and procedural issues across various jurisdictions.

Duties:

• Conduct judicial research to develop profiles and provide analytics on judges, reviewing transcripts and case histories.
• Oversee calendaring functions, including managing litigation deadlines across all contested matters using firm-approved calendaring programs.
• Perform court services functions, such as retrieving court documents from electronic and paper databases, filing client and firm documents, and coordinating process server services.
• Develop and prepare procedural roadmaps to assist attorneys with complex court filings, identifying strategic opportunities, and advising on best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information, ensuring compliance with firm protocols.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in litigation practice or within a Docket/Calendar/Litigation Services environment.
• In-depth knowledge of court rules and procedures, with the ability to apply them effectively across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex legal issues clearly and confidently.
• Analytical ability to interpret and explain complex legal principles and procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Current Bar admission in New York.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, CourtLink, and Lex Machina.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and complex tasks efficiently.
