A law firm in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Trust and Estate Planning Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients on matters related to trusts, estates, wealth planning, and taxation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate tax rules and regulations, possess a valid Oklahoma Bar license, and have prior experience in handling business transactions.

Job Details:

Duties:

• Communicates with clients to identify legal needs and concerns, providing advisement or representation in alignment with Firm expectations.
• Drafts a wide variety of trust, estate plan, and related documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provides advice to clients on issues regarding wealth, property, taxation, planning, charitable gifts, wills, and gifts, among others.
• Researches applicable legal and regulatory matters for clients, ensuring lawful best practices and application.
• Applies broad and in-depth representation for complex estate, tax, and wealth planning matters.
• Manages multiple trust and estate matters simultaneously.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of estate tax rules and regulations, as well as applicable best practices.
• Handles matters pertaining to probate, inheritance, trusts, and estates.
• Participates in Firm meetings or colleague matters to proactively develop solutions to clients' needs.
• Finds ethical solutions to clients' legal matters or needs.
• Participates in business social activities that generate new clients and/or more legal work for the Firm.
• Maintains best practices with the law and respective Bar Association(s) in practicing law.
• Performs administrative functions related to matter or case management, the practice of law, and Firm requirements.

Requirements:

• Valid, good-standing Oklahoma Bar license.
• Five years of prior law practice experience handling business transactions (7 years preferred).
• Experience using Rocket Matter is a plus.
• Prior experience with Wealth Counsel is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid Oklahoma Bar license.
