The candidate will provides technical support on legal matters for the Office of Advancement; specifically, in the areas of estate, wills, taxation, bequests and contracts. Will work to coordinate Advancement's gift planning, legal affairs and compliance plan for endowed funds and selected non-endowed funds. Serves as a resource to the Advancement staff by providing historical knowledge of legacy gifts and training for the Staff Attorney in Major Gifts. Prepares proposals, gift agreements, and resolutions and by assisting with complex gifts and stewards a portfolio of planned giving donors. Bachelor's degree and JD is required. Must have 7+ years of direct planned giving experience or 7 years of practicing law in the fields of tax, probate, and charitable giving.
