Position Summary: The Imaging Clinical Coordinator under the
direction of the Director of Ambulatory Imaging collaborates with the
Director to coordinate the patient workflow in the general diagnostic area. This individual coordinates all study
procedures according to physician and PA availability. Monitors quality control of the
technologists' images. Assigns work to the technologists based on room
availability and demand. Reports to Director any safety and quality
compliance issues. This position must
participate and support quality improvement activities within the department
as well as the hospital. Collaborates
with the Director on staff schedules. Assists in monitoring/maintaining
adequate stock/supplies necessary for patient examinations. This individual
will also be the one to whom the physicians may go for concerns or issues
that arise in the absence of the Director, and may disseminate information to
the staff as appropriate for the job level.','!*!
Requirements: Graduate of accredited school of
radiologic technology. Must hold
Radiography Operators General Certificate from the Kentucky Radiation
Operators Programs. Registered in good standing with the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists. Must be certified in multiple modalities. A minimum of three years of experience as a
staff technologist is required.
Previous experience in management responsibilities and demonstration
of leadership qualities are preferred.
A thorough understanding of radiology procedures and processes is required.
Must possess excellent communication, organizational and problem solving
skills. Skill with a PC which includes
the use of Word and Excel is necessary.
