Real Estate Title Paralegal/Manager
Duties: First and primary point of contact with clients. Responsible for successful resolution of all files, ensuring an excellent client experience regardless of the outcome. Responsible for understanding all parts of the escrow process to ensure that orders are opened with the end result in mind. Coordinate communication with the realtors, lender, attorneys, buyers, sellers, members, etc., to prepare for settlement. Ensure that all Schedule B-1 items on a title commitment are resolved before closing. Clearing title defects (obtaining documentary proof to resolve a defect, or obtain new signatures on documents needed to obtain clear and marketable title), and ordering mortgage/lien payoffs. Prepare a Closing Disclosure (CD) and/or Settlement Statement that is compliant with a purchase contract, a lender, and federal/state requirements. Responsible for the performance of a team, including financial performance, efficiency, and a smooth process for each transaction. Meet with the Branch Manager regularly to discuss the performance of the Escrow Team. Perform closing functions in accordance with company standards. Create business relationships that maintain and increase the profitability of the office. Work with the Branch Manager and sales staff to identify potential clients.
