Duties: Oversee each Versant Health company’s (including four insurance companies) compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies across various geographic jurisdictions. Lead the Corporate Compliance team in the ongoing administration of the organization’s compliance program, ensuring day-to-day monitoring and testing activities associated business operations. Ensure that compliance controls are operating effectively across the relevant business units, and collaborate with senior leaders as appropriate. Set organizational strategy for compliance by staying informed of new product ideas, business strategies and initiatives, merging risks and regulatory changes Adjust compliance strategies, monitoring and testing as needed. Ensure that pertinent new laws and regulations are included in the inventory of applicable laws and regulations maintained, and that business operations are educated appropriated and implement changes accordingly. Oversee the development of compliance policies and procedures. Ensure revisions are communicated to relevant associates. Deploy an ongoing compliance training strategy to reinforce the importance of the compliance program and the applicability of compliance policies and procedures, rules and regulations. Interface with regulators during regulatory exams, as required. Stay abreast of all regulatory examination findings to ensure control weaknesses identified by regulators are addressed. Responsible for the accurate interpretation of and implementation of federal and state regulations related to Medicare & Medicaid as well as other applicable requirements. Explain such regulations, policies and procedures to company personnel and assist the product implementation teams in the development of related business requirements. Maintain awareness of evolving Medicare & Medicaid programs government regulatory requirements, trends and developments that pertain to Vision and inform project teams and senior management of changes and work with teams to develop viable solutions that meet the appropriate regulations. Oversee the execution of Privacy compliance programs by partnering with Versant Health leadership to integrate Privacy and Compliance with the organization’s business strategy and requirements. Support the investigation, tracking, and remediation of confirmed violations of Versant Health’s Privacy policies and Standards of Conduct; ensure departments timely response to incidents and inquiries received; document the work and actions taken in a central database, and tracking investigations and inquiries.
