VP Account Management Job Description

The Vice President Account Management is responsible for setting the strategic direction, planning, controlling and directing the client development activities of the assigned Account Management Team. This role will maintain responsibility for all business development efforts and contract closings of the team. Additionally, will be responsible for ensuring revenue and profit margins meet or exceed targets. In this leadership role, you will own top line revenue deliverables for your organization. Duties and Responsibilities

*Overall responsibility for business development worldwide and for the hiring, management and direction of account management team.

*Identify, develop and advance a pipeline of large standalone, pursuits that are targeted to

industries we align our services with.

*Create compelling business strategy consultative and value

proposition to traditionally in-sourced prospect accounts.

*Cultivate, direct and provide new thought leadership in the form of creative statistic and action planning to move organization into a leadership

position of for assigned area.

*Work closely within the functional team and subject matter experts to maximize involvement and expertise during the sales cycle.

*Work closely with functional and operational teams to support delivery of sold business to enhance opportunities to continue profitable account growth.

*Develop strong relationships with the CEO, CIO, CFO of large, global, high profile clients in order to win large major new revenues for Convergys.

*Working in conjunction with the Alliance team within Convergys, develop and broaden relationships with Advisors/Alliances while cultivating others that will be necessary as we pursue large transformational deals.

*Align business development goals to corporate goals and strategies.

*Leverage our Sales and LifeCycle Development methodologies globally.

*Executive positioning presentation skills.

*Responsible for delivering on new business objectives.

*Responsible for establishing and clearly communicating departmental strategy to management team; providing feedback regarding tactical operations for department including budgeting, goal setting, and managing performance; following organization's policies and applicable legal requirements; determining and implementing appropriate

staffing

and customer interaction guidelines for work team(s); and monitoring performance leading to

Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in related field from a four-year college or university with ten or more years related experience; or *Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Profile

*Eight to ten years successful senior sales and management experience within the outsourcing or large-scale technology consulting arena.

*Extensive experience building hiring, leading and directing geographically dispersed sales executives who are responsible for the overall marketing and business development efforts

for major client outsourcing relationships.

*A proven track record of motivating and cultivating a winning team of sales executives. *Extensive experience leading and managing cross-functional teams to deliver complex outsourcing solutions.

*Excellent oral and written communication skills to all levels of client and company management along with dynamic and polished presentation skills. Proven success directing and orchestrating client negotiations on complex issues at the C-Level.

*Strong results orientation with a high sense of urgency that can quickly establish priorities and manage expectations. *Knowledge of the customer
