Job Description:
The Mogas & Ethanol Operations Analyst is responsible for product regrades and reconciling inventory for over 11 locations with multiple grades of product. Source points for product include refineries (equity and 3rd party), traded hub locations, and product already in transit.
Accounting for all regrades and transfers of gasoline, gasoline components, and ethanol.
Reporting to Operations on the inventory position, which is used in the planning of future moves
Assisting the financial closing team in the review of significant differences between forecasted and actual volume
Reconciliation of inventory balances in Endur to third party statements
Resolving accounting problems and discrepancies related to gasoline and ethanol movements
Identifying root cause of problems and taking proper action to resolve them
Scheduling meetings with internal stakeholders, or 3rd party companies to resolve inventory discrepancies
Work with Commercial Operations group, identify/implement commercial opportunities
Responsible for daily updating/ monthly reconciling of inventory at terminals and adhering to end of month processes.
Provide back-up coverage to other team schedulers as outlined by line manager for coverage planning.
Apply commercial aptitude to gain stronger understanding of the business dynamics and provide logistical value.
Keep adequate records to meet the company’s legal and fiscal obligations.
Effectively communicate with traders, schedulers, and other team members to develop logistical solutions to meet commercial excellence.
Manage a solid networking foundation amongst key internal and external contacts.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will be required to handle a high volume of transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.
Ability to multi-task effectively, manage competing priorities with a detail-oriented mindset and meet critical deadlines.
Must be highly motivated and possess strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills in order to recognize and solve problems quickly.
Ability to work independently and within a dynamic, fast paced and business critical trading team environment with minimal supervision.
Previous exposure to a fast past, high energy and demanding trading environment will be an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as sound approach for stakeholder management and team building mindset.
