Description

The BH Senior Data and Reporting Professional generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Senior Data and Reporting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data and Reporting Professional integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

3 years of experience in Excel, SQL, and/or SAS

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards

Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data

Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop presentation to effectively share analysis results with leaders

Very strong skills pulling data from multiple systems and using that data to determine and drive trends and create reporting

Demonstrated ability to document all steps of data abstraction and analysis for inclusion in research projects and other business documents

Passion to improve health outcomes using regimented quality improvement methodologies

Must be available to work Monday - Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field -OR- 5 or more years of technical experience in data reporting, analytics and project management

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Experience with tools such as Qlikview for creating data visualizations

Experience with PowerBI and Tableau

Experience working with performance measures such as HEDIS

Experience working in a Medicaid managed care environment

Experience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment

In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, and graphs

Experience leading and participating on teams that seek to improve performance measure scores, using quality methodology such as plan-do-study-act

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
