Responsibilities: Will provide legal consultations and representation in the areas of Guardianship, Wills, Power Of Attorney, and Probate. Will assess and determine if Caritas Legal Service is able to provide representation. Attend hearings or interviews with clients. Will assist in collaborating with other organization to provide legal services. Will work with assigned staff to organize and structure volunteers if needed. Maintain financial expenditures of fund to be allocated for IOLTA, grants, and other funding sources. Participate in Department sponsored functions. Complete reports to monitor funding and services provided. Maintain contact with clients on a regular basis. Prepare necessary pleadings, discovery and legal documents. Appear in court and represent clients for hearings, motions, or trials. Assist with client representation with any client being serviced by the program when necessary as pertaining to area of guardianship law. Engage in collaborative project within the agency and in the community as determined by the Director Update legal database with all case management notes and documentation. Supervise legal assistants to monitor productivity. Conduct phone/virtual consultations as needed. Adhere to agency policies and procedures. Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others. Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information. Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory. Other duties as assigned by Senior Director.
