Typical work assignments include:- Receiving, storing, handling, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment.- Sorting and segregating materialand making note of overages, shortages and damages and making verbal and written reports to the supervisor.- Repacking various items that are received and do not comply with packaging and repacking to comply with warehouse standards.- Performing consolidation, integration and staging of material(s) and keeping logs (manual and/or computerized) of the process.- Ensuring safe receipt, storage, and movement of hazardous and toxicmaterials and substances in accordance with safety regulations.- Operating large warehouseequipment such as forklift, hand and electric \pallet jacks\, wire guided lifts, vertical and horizontal \carousels/mini-retrieve\ and other automated storage equipment. Operating facility vehicles, to include vans, pickup and five ton \straight job\ with hydraulic lift gate for local deliveries and pickups.,qualifications:Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.
