Regulatory Affairs: Asset Wealth Management Regulations, Vice President/ Executive Director
The candidate will be engaging in balanced advocacy with regulators and policymakers, understanding and providing thought leadership on how policies affect the firm’s clients and economic growth overall, and governing internal coordination among regions and lines of business on global regulatory reform issues. Identifying emerging regulatory policy issues affecting AWM, and proactively keeping AWM stakeholders informed of developments. Preparing textual and impact analysis of relevant federal rulemakings and policy proposals. Working closely with senior business leaders, the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs for AWM, Government Relations, and other partners to define AWM regulatory policy priorities. Leading working groups within AWM to develop policy positions on priority issues. Coordinating across the firm to communicate AWM’s views, develop advocacy strategies, and ensure that AWM perspectives are represented in firmwide communications and advocacy efforts. Engaging externally with trade associations, regulators and policymakers, to communicate policy positions and execute advocacy strategies. Ensuring business visibility into proposed rules and forthcoming regulatory changes, and ensuring handoff to internal implementation leads as rules become final. Bachelor’s Degree is required; JD or CFA is preferred. Should have 8-12 years of experience in regulatory law, consulting, strategy, public policy, advocacy, or a related field. Experience interacting successfully with executive management and senior leaders through written and verbal briefings is required.
