Senior Desktop Delivery Engineer

Responsibilities: Work closely with team lead to support and manage the SCCM, SCOM, AppSense, Health Monitoring, and VDI (both local d virtualized desktop) environments. Rely upon previous technical / platform (Windows / Citrix / GPO / MBAM / SCCM / SCOM / AppSense / Etc.) knowledge and possess keen research abilities to perform tasks efficiently and independently. Deploy enterprise-level software into the environment (both local and virtualized desktop) through extensive analysis, design preparation, and testing. System Center Configuration Manager 2016 software distribution, patch management, and Windows 10 operating system deployment. Troubleshoot all aspects of SCCM effectively and understand the product flow. SCCM disaster recovery / business continuity planning and execution. Understand the fundamentals of WMI and how it is utilized by SCCM. Ability to create custom SCCM and SQL reports. Perform administrative tasks from the System Center Operation Manager 2016 console. Provide application support for the SCOM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules. Review and update SCOM console security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews, and create and install custom Management Packs (MP) as needed. Deliver custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring, use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) technologies, and provide problem resolution for SCOM components and related custom scripts. Implement enterprise-wide optimized user personalization through thorough research, streamlining, testing and optimization. Effectively identify, research, and resolve any defects within a given application, and manage communication and interaction with application vendors for issue resolution. Responsible for researching and testing solutions to application technical issues, including using scripting methods to optimize and automate where possible. Assist with resolution of escalated incidents, day to day EUC issues, and participate in problem management activities. Participate in cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology. Work with the EUC Manager and EUC team lead to chart out the strategy and implementation plan for the EUC roadmap. Assist junior engineers with support of enterprise applications and software in the various end-user environments. Cross-train other IT staff in the use or maintenance of technology and prepare technical documentation.
