Associate Attorney
The candidate will provide world-class client service in a professional and ethical manner. Duties : Reviews and analyzes existing cases and new potential cases. Attends and conducts depositions. Responsible for face-to-face meetings and telephone contact with clients. Prepares evidence for hearing and prepares for hearings. Responsible for negotiating and settling various aspects of cases with attorneys and adjusters including settlement and medical treatment. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Should have the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Should have ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Must have ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Should have effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Should Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must have ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Should have ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Should have Juris Doctorate (J. D.); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a Member of good standing in the South Carolina Bar Association.
