A particular area of focus would be public policy and business schools, economics departments and law schools that have strong institutional quality, combined with particular expertise in technology. As part of this work, you would manage the budget for academic research grants and be the primary point of contact for researchers receiving grants. Review and bring back broader research across our core policy issues. Would stay abreast of the latest policy-related research relevant to Workday’s policy portfolio, make Workday colleagues aware of the latest thinking, and provide guidance to the business about how the research might impact our product development teams. Would focus particularly on data related to our policy issues, including the availability of data sets and the opportunity of the Company to use and/or enhance those data sets. Would work with the marketing team about how that research can inform our product and customer marketing efforts. Work with institutions to develop events related to policy priorities. Academic institutions bring together diverse stakeholders to discuss current issues, socialize research, and deepen thinking about complex issues. Would work with the academic institutions we support to organize events—from conferences to roundtables—to drive discussions on core policy topics. Connect researchers with policymakers and others to influence developments. By connecting academics with policymakers, Will help their research have immediate impact. Would work with the public policy team to suggest opportunities for academics to engage with policymakers and their staff, including opportunities to testify before legislative bodies. Bring academics to Workday to engage and learn more about enterprise cloud. Academics want to learn about how the issues they are focused on play out in the real world. Enterprise cloud companies focus on providing cloud-based services to other companies rather than consumers, and this business model results in them competing on features like privacy and security. Would enable academics to engage directly with Workday business leaders to learn more about the enterprise cloud ecosystem.
