Account Receivable Collection Specialist

The candidate will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients to effectively manage and resolve outstanding accounts. Under the direction of the Billing and Collections Manager, Revenue Recovery Specialist develops and maintain relationships with internal and external clients to effectively manage and resolve outstanding accounts. Handle overdue A/R balances through enforcement of collections and billing policies; including contacting clients, setting up and monitoring payment plans, and writing off uncollectible balances, and performing year-end cleanup of old balances. Monitor and track client’s financial viability including those that file bankruptcy. Communicate with and coach internal attorneys about best practices for collecting past due balances and minimizing collection issues going forward. Partner with the Billings and Collections manager to assist in the development of internal policies and practices. Provide reports and analysis to include identification of trends and collection activities. Assist with other billing-related functions as needed. High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. College level accounting coursework or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in an Accounting or Business related field with an emphasis on collection actions.
