SUMMARY
Stampede Ventures, Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified
QCM/SSHO at Ft. Bragg, NC. SVI was awarded a five-year SATOC for general construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are
not
intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
QC/SSHO will be under the General Supervision of the Government’s QA. The QC/SSHO will be responsible for all safety and quality control with on-site workforce, conduct weekly safety meetings, and submit reports.
Conducts three-phase-inspections.
Manages Safety and Health and Quality Control.
Develops and maintains the final approved QC Inspection Manual and checklists.
Scheduling management performed QC inspections on a monthly basis.
Promotes the use Technical Monitor’s ™ and other publications used as source information for the QC Manual, checklists, plans and procedures.
Monitors all actions of QC and Safety. Serves as Point of Contact (POC) for resolution of customer complaints.
Receives, processes and prepares the contractor's response, for the PM’s approval and signature, to any customer complaints.
Maintains contact with all units and activities served and the Contracting Officer (KO) to determine level of customer satisfaction, identify problem areas, and enhance contract performance.
Supports the Project Manager in all matters relating to contract quality and safety.
Maintains close liaison with the Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) relating to matters involving contract requirements.
Takes immediate action on all matters presented by the QAE and/or the KO and ensures that contract requirements are fulfilled in accordance with schedule commitments.
Makes frequent visits to each functional area to stay abreast of all activities, ensures each activity is in full compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract and applicable military regulations.
Monitors each operation through inspections, performance and operational reports, and liaison with managers, supervisors, employees, and government staff members.
Ensures that fire, safety, and quality control plans are established and effectively maintained.
Takes immediate corrective action if notified by the QAE or KO of any noncompliance with specified accident prevention policies or procedures and ensures that non-compliant work is remedied within time limits specified in the PWS.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
At least five years
as QCM and SSHO with specific construction experience.
High School or equivalent
Ability to pass applicable pre-employment drug screen
Physically fit to perform the required duties
Good driving record
CQM for Contractors Certification
OSHA 30
First Aid / CPR
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
Preferred
Minimum 5-years of experience performing Supervisory duties.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision of all staff on site performing construction activities including safety oversight, contract compliance, scheduling, etc.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
