NJ LEEP Summer 2023 Internship
The candidate will research and summarize legal developments and/or case law in practice areas such as Real Estate, Product Development, M&A, Compliance, Labor and Employment, IP, Tax and Privacy. Will contribute to projects that relate to state and/or federal regulatory issues affecting the communications industry. Participate in business, sales and marketing meetings. Work with Verizon and law firm partnering attorneys on Pro Bono Program projects and matters. Support negotiations with customers and/or vendors by drafting documents such as summaries and contract provisions. Review and draft provisions for technology and software sourcing contracts. Produce written work products subject to confidentiality restrictions. Go on field trips to different offices, Verizon retail stores, the technology office, aviation units, and more to learn about different aspects of the law. Should have current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor's program. Must have completed The NJ Leep Program. Interest and intent in pursuing a legal degree are preferred. Demonstrated strong verbal, written, communication and presentation skills plus. Demonstrated independent thinking, relationship management, and attention to detail is desired. Demonstrated analytical and leadership skills plus.
