Graduate Fellowship Program
The Fellowship Program places new associates from law firms at public interest law agencies in Illinois, where they are typically paid by their hiring firm to work for 300 hours between graduation and joining the firm. The Fellow will work on a wide and diverse range of issues depending on the agency where they serve. Will also work on transactional matters such as policy development and analysis, advocacy, impact litigation and more. Fellows will assist in the processing and analysis of housing discrimination complaints brought under Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; and other applicable laws. May participate in all aspects of the administrative process, including complaint intake, preparing investigative plans, administrative discovery, including requesting and reviewing documents and records, interviews, settlement negotiations, and legal research and writing. May also participate in reviews of recipients of federal funding for compliance with civil rights obligations.
