Description
This Strategy Advancement Advisor/Lead will identify, develop, and execute improvements for Senior Products Actuarial (SPA) processes. A primary annual goal for this role will be successful execution of the annual Data Inputs process for the Individual MAPD/PDP bid process, from design and implementation of improvements through leading execution and reporting of the annual process. The Strategy Advancement Advisor will develop a thorough understanding of the process landscape for individual MAPD and PDP pricing and supporting processes, collaborate across SPA and with SPA's business partners, provide insightful guidance to business partners and champion change. Other operational processes may be owned by this role while developing methods to reduce or eliminate manual efforts through process improvement.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The role requires experience in process improvement, a working familiarity of project management, and demonstrated capability in change management.
Responsibilities
Strategy Advancement Advisor/Lead will be responsible for:
Lead the execution of the existing data input process for the balance of the 2022 Bid Season (2021 Calendar Year) with the assistance of an existing project team.
Fully own individual MAPD/PDP Data Input process operations for the next bid season, including design and implementation of process improvements for the next bid season, including:
Improved first pass rate (data arrives on time, in compliance with all requirements)
Reduced effort to manage the bid season operations through process improvement and automation where possible
Reduced rework for actuarial teams
Managing change, including championing new ways of working & adoption of new systems, training of both SPA and internal and external partners, simplified reporting and issues management.
Pay it forward: implement the best parts of data inputs process to address other business needs across SPA
Develop end-to-end process understanding and implement best practices that add business value.
Risk management through root cause analysis
Process Metrics (create, manage, improve)
Quality checkpoints and metrics (Ensure high quality pricing)
Contribute to annual Process Team key objectives, including the annual Bid Submission Summary, Process Reviews and the identification and execution of process improvements.
Process Execution

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Project leadership experience
Experience influencing change and quantify the impact and value
5 or more years of process improvement and/or process optimization experience
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree
Lean and/or Sig Sigma Certifications
Evidence of successful process improvement implementation
Project Management background
Process design and/or management experience
Engineering, Computer Science or other technical background may be helpful, but not required
