Director, Associate General Counsel

The candidate will be responsible for assuring the availability, continuity and quality of competent, timely and cost-efficient legal services. This position has an important role in providing legal advice in areas of significant company-wide impact. Provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including quality, regulatory, operations, strategic transactions, contracting, licensing, transactional, and general corporate matters across multiple business units, with a particular focus on Small Molecules business unit and Strategic Sourcing / Procurement function. Provide comprehensive legal counsel to support contractual and commercial projects for business operations and initiatives. Demonstrate strategic value and competence in applying legal skills to daily corporate, business, compliance and other matters. Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist the company in achieving business objectives. Supervise outside counsel and related budgets, as needed. Identify areas of company risk and make proposals for and lead the implementation of mitigation strategies. Perform other duties as assigned.
