Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Property and Casualty Insurance Litigation Associate with 2–6 years of experience in insurance litigation. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, with preference given to those with experience in bad faith insurance matters. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex litigation cases in a collaborative and client-driven environment. Positions are available in the Miami or Tampa office.

Duties

• Handle litigation matters related to property and casualty insurance disputes
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to assess coverage issues
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and court proceedings
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on insurance law and bad faith claims
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies
• Manage discovery processes and trial preparations

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in insurance litigation
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverage issues
• Experience in bad faith insurance litigation (preferred)
• Excellent research, analytical, and legal writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Federal or state appellate clerkship experience (a plus)

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Florida State Bar (required)
