Spring 2020 Committee Internship Program
The intern will have an opportunity to experience the operations of a congressional committee firsthand and learn about the important role that House committees in the House of Representatives play in the legislative process. The Committee on the Judiciary has jurisdiction over a wide range of legislative and oversight issues which include constitutional amendments, litigation reform, patent and trademark law, federal criminal law, federal civil rights law, anti-terrorism, immigration and naturalization, and antitrust. Legal interns are generally placed – based on their areas of interest and experience – with the Full Committee or one of the five subcommittees. Both undergraduate and law students are considered.
