Lead Contract Manager

The candidate will assist in performing contract management duties for the Carrier Relation’s team for services that Lumen purchases from CLECs, ILECs, Cable Companies, Third Party Collocation, Dark Fiber, Right-of-Way, and voice service vendors. This would include, but not be limited to: (i) assisting with the negotiations of such agreements with vendors; (ii) developing creative solutions to contract issues; (iii) drafting terms and conditions; (iv) obtaining & tracking internal approvals and managing the project, including the execution of the agreements; (v) assisting in the drafting of executive summaries justifying the business case; (vi) storing and retrieving vendor agreements in a contract repository and distributing contracts to internal stakeholders; (vii) assisting in the interpretation and research of contract language and helping to resolve contract disputes; and (viii) other various duties as assigned, including administrative duties. Should have 10+ years of work experience (BA/BS) degree. MBA or law degree is a plus. Should have 7 years of related experience in a contract management position with a high degree of responsibility. Contract drafting experience, negotiation skills, and knowledge of contract terms and/or law degree or paralegal certification. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to summarize key contract issues. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Strong computer skills proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Outlook, MS Teams, and various other multi-media equipment. Telecom experience is a plus.
