The Maintenance role must have the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. This position is responsible for primarily preventative and mechanical maintenance and must possess basic knowledge of machine repair. A successful candidate is self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.
Complete electrical and mechanical repairs and makes adjustments as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.
Successfully troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.
Modify PLC and HMI programming
Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately.
Initiate and install improvement projects
May perform basic machining tasks
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Other duties as assigned
Key skills desired for this position include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to trouble shoot electrical and mechanical problems
Perform basic root cause analysis
Understands basic ladder logic controls
Use test equipment such as VOM, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters to test circuits and devices to ensure equipment is in safe and proper working condition
Determine root cause and make repairs of electro-mechanical equipment
Capable of reading electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
Knowledge of and experience with AC/DC motor drives
Other Skills of the Maintenance Technician:
Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and code books
Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills
Should be capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints
Good problem solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality
Advanced workbench and computer skills.
Minimal to moderate amount of electrical knowledge
Basic math skills
Two year Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics desired; or those having 4 years equivalent experience
