Tax Manager, National Tax Accounting Group
The candidate will assist with leading engagement teams and work with Partners, Managing Directors and Senior Managers to provide day-to-day management of tax accounting services to non-attest clients. Manage tax accounting projects utilizing a standardized approach to review income tax provision calculations and manage the delivery of provision services. Work closely with Partners, Managing Directors, and Senior Managers to expand the ASC 740 skills of our team, drive innovation, enhance cross-service line teaming, grow tax revenue, and build brand. Mentor and develop engagement Staff and Seniors, providing leadership, counseling, career guidance specifically assisting with their technical and other professional development. Actively participate in marketplace activities, recruiting, and process and technology innovation. Identify service opportunities and advance Tax initiatives. Should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field. Should have 5+ years of experience with income taxes in accordance to ASC 740 and/or IAS 12. Background in tax compliance and tax provisions with a broad understanding of US income taxation is required. One of the following accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA. If not CPA eligible: Licensed attorney and Enrolled Agent. Professional services or comparable tax organization experience is needed. Proven management experience indicating strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and manage budgets and work plans are needed. Advanced degree such as MST or MAcc is preferred. Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are needed. Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues are essential. Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment is needed. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills are needed. Should be self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities. Should have proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
