Director, Business & Legal Affairs (Attorney)
The candidate will work closely with corporate/label executives, business unit leaders, and internal/external counsel to provide strategic and targeted legal advice, counsel, and representation in connection with the negotiation, drafting and management of agreements for a broad range of commercial transactions across Bravado’s global footprint. Provide legal support to SVP. Draft, review, and/or summarize a variety of legal agreements including digital, brand, endorsement, sponsorship deals, production, license, distribution, independent contractor, content sales and licensing agreements, technology service agreements, merchandising and other entertainment-related agreements. Review and monitor critical dates, and other ongoing rights and obligations of company. Support the Bravado merchandise business and work with various artists on deals. BA/BS degree, JD, license and admission to practice by the NY state Bar is required. Should have 5-7 years’ experience of law firm experience or in-house experience in transactional matters preferred. Music industry experience is preferred. Knowledge of trademark and copyright law is required. Knowledge of record label and publishing issues is preferred.
