Assistant General Counsel
Responsibilities: Assisting the General Counsel with managing the company’s legal risk in various areas of law (including contract, litigation, employment law, real estate, intellectual property, finance, corporate, and others); Providing representation relating to matters before the EEOC; Providing legal assistance in drafting and negotiating legal documents of all types; Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting customer, vendor, and partner contracts; Managing outside counsel in litigation matters and coordinating internal requirements in connection with litigation; Managing intellectual property matters (DMCA/trademark infringement notices, subpoenas, etc.); Assisting with customer matters, including restructurings, collections, settlement agreements, and creditor bankruptcy matters; Studying and interpreting laws, court decisions, ordinances, and other legal authorities, as needed, to deliver the foregoing services; and Rendering legal advice to the General Counsel, other members of the company’s leadership/management group.
