The candidate will provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness. Handle communication with clients, witnesses, etc. Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research. Locate and develop case-relevant information. Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Answer and direct phone calls. Maintain contact lists. Monitor deadlines and calendars. Legal Assistant certification or diploma is required. Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court systems is needed. Satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a legal office is essential. Computer literacy is needed. Proficiency in English is needed. Working knowledge of case management software is needed. Excellent secretarial and organizational skills are essential. Should have the ability to multitask under pressure.
