Human Resources Generalist
The candidate maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Administers the payroll process for legal and non-legal positions. Maintains accurate deductions for benefits. Administers Benefits for all employees (includes open enrollment). Manages claims to the insurance carrier and processes the necessary paperwork. Maintain and audit HRIS System, daily, weekly, monthly. Staff and attorney recruiting. Responsible for on boarding for all new employees. Creates and maintains personnel files. Manages leave of absence process to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Provides counsel to Management in all issues of performance management, including corrective action, terminations, etc. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Maintains management guidelines (firm's code of conduct Employee Manual) by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. Coordinates performance review programs for legal and non-legal staff. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Communicates with others verbally and in writing.
