Profile

Three to four-month temporary position where you will perform a wide range of complex payroll and related duties. The Payroll Specialist prepares and verifies all payroll and benefit documents, coordinates all payroll functions including time-sheet verification. Develop electronic spreadsheets to continually enhance the accuracy and efficiency of payroll and benefits operations. Work requires initiative and independent judgment in the application of prescribed policies, procedures, and methods. Performs all other related work as required. You will train with the current Payroll Administrator. This is a part-time position approximately 25 hours per week with flexible hours 8am to 2 or 3pm Monday thru Friday.

Requirements: 

  • 5-10 years of experience administering payroll and benefits.
  • Strong organizational skils, detail oriented, and good communication skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of office procedures, practices, and terminology.

  • Ability to manage and meet demanding and fixed deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Office including Excel and other software as required by the position.
  • Experience with Paylocity or other cloud based payroll systems is a plus.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manages and prepares the weekly payroll, benefits administration and reporting.
  • Perform all adjustments, changes, new additions and terminations.
  • Develops regular schedule of payroll preparation, review and verification.
  • Provides customer service by responding to multiple payroll and benefit related inquiries involving a variety of issues which require detailed research and analysis.
  • Manage security and safety related codes and keys
  • Prepare and track all employment-related documentation including FMLA; LOA; Etc.
