A law firm is seeking a Data, Privacy, and Cyber-Security Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join their Palo Alto, CA office. The ideal candidate will advise innovative digital health companies on various privacy and security matters, providing practical and dynamic legal counsel. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of attorneys across the firm, working with health and life sciences companies on rapidly evolving and complex legal challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to digital health and life sciences companies on privacy and security matters.
• Advise on compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy and security regulations.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive, actionable advice.
• Address emerging issues in data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• Represent clients in data breaches, investigations, and enforcement actions.
• Assist clients in navigating legal risks related to digital health technologies.
• Engage in client meetings and contribute to the development of legal strategies.
• Stay informed of evolving privacy and security laws and industry trends.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience advising clients on privacy and security matters.
• Significant experience with HIPAA and privacy/security regulations.
• Prior experience working with technology companies is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Certifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar or eligibility to waive in.
