This position is a Lead Human Resources Specialist (Classification) for the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center. This position is with the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) located in Crystal City, Virginia. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing comprehensive advice and guidance on proper classification of positions; reviewing position descriptions for errors in format, title, series and grade; providing guidance on the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques; ensuring classification actions are in compliance with regulation, policy, and guidance; explaining classification processes and procedures to managers, employees, and union officials to further a collective understanding; developing methods to maximize competence and encourage consistency.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
