Position Purpose & Summary:
The Kissing Camels Food and Beverage Manager oversees and supports the dining room and team members in delivering exceptional member\/guest service in both restaurant and bar applications. They are responsible for managing labor and for supporting company policy.
Essential Functions:
Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant, furnishings, and workstations.
Provides a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for team members, members, and guests.
Monitor food quality and service level.
Assists with hiring, training, testing, and maintaining updated training manuals.
Assists with monitoring payroll and revenue daily.
Assists with ordering, organizing and inventory control of all products.
Reads and responds to emails daily.
Plans and supervises dining room set-up based on reservations and events.
Maintains dining room reservation system.
Receives and resolves complaints concerning food, beverages, and service.
Conducts daily stand-up meetings before each shift.
Maintains the physical integrity of the dining room and furniture, including restaurant china and cutlery.
Prepares requested reports.
Conduct safety training classes in conjunction with the safety committee on lifting, emergency procedures, proper knife handling, etc.
Determine food, labor and overhead costs and direct food apportionment policy to control costs.
Review sales and Food and Beverage labor costs daily and resolve any discrepancies with Finance and Accounting.
Minimize waste and maintains controls to attain forecasted food and labor costs.
Keep a pulse on the budget in collaboration with the Restaurants General Manager, develop, recommend, and manage the restaurants budget, business marketing plan, and forecasts, to meet or exceed management's expectations.
Knows the menu, prices, and policies on side dishes and substitutions.
Prepares voids on the POS system with written explanation.
Prepares team member schedules and displays them adequately before schedule is needed.
Sees that silver flatware and other service pieces are shined and clean.
Conducts daily walk-through inspections of dining room and service areas.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff members within guidelines.
Consults with Restaurants General Manager and Human Resources on employment and termination decisions.
Maintains the wine list and makes decisions with the Restaurants General Manager on wine selections.
Has a close working relationship with the KC Grill Chef and culinary team.
Implements improvements to operational systems and procedures.
Assists in meal or bar service and wine service needed.
Deliver \I Am Proud\ service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
Ensuring that Equipment Inventories are done accurately and on timely manners, as per schedule
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the Restaurants General Manager, and or Sr. Leadership Team.

Position Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge & Skills: An extensive background in fine dining establishments with and an excellent knowledge of both food, wine, and beverage service is preferred. The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is a requirement for this position. They must also be able to write routine reports, correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of members, guests or employees of organization.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years related experience and\/or training is required. An extensive background in fine dining establishments with an
