Legal and Compliance Associate
The candidate will be working at the center innovative environment, gaining exposure to a broad variety of skills and tasks while learning about serving as in-house counsel to a global nonprofit. This role will include: Overseeing legal, compliance, data privacy, and governance plan implementation in company offices located in over 30 countries worldwide; Ensuring legal, compliance, and data privacy processes are embedded in team operations and are appropriately documented; Building resources and toolkits to support legal and compliance functions; Creating and facilitating legal, compliance, and data privacy trainings and workshops; Developing articles for internal knowledge base, including how-to’s, and product descriptions; Building orientation systems, processes, and resources; Responding to legal requests from program managers and country offices; Researching domestic and international laws and applying to company’s work; Building an Integrity Certification program to help non-legal staff learn basic legal concepts; and Completing ad hoc assignments for the team.
