Associate Legal Counsel
Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel to the Response & Resolution leadership team and investigators, including on investigation strategy, the appropriateness of temporary measures, and identifying appropriate policies for investigations. Review investigation reports, identify policies applicable to alleged violations, and draft decisions. Represent the Center at hearings and arbitrations challenging the Center’s temporary measures, findings, and sanctions. Assist with the administrative aspects of Response & Resolution Office investigations and arbitrations. Liaise with counsels for parties involved in the Response & Resolution process, explaining legal process, roles, and responsibilities. Work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and the Response & Resolution leadership team on policy and procedure creation and revisions. Work externally with the Center’s outside legal counsel to identify the most effective use of outside counsel services in achieving the best results for the Center. As necessary, serve as the Center’s legal liaison to the USOPC, USADA, and NGBs. Work on additional legal matters as assigned.
