Contract Attorney

Profile

Plaintiffs' litigation firm seeks contract attorney for position supporting a trial team of four other attorneys.

Ideal candidate will be able to:

• review depositions and documents;
• conduct legal and factual research;
• work with expert witnesses;
• draft motions and memoranda supporting and opposing summary judgment, motions in limine and trial briefs;
• assist with conducting jury focus groups, witness interviews and writing summaries, drafting witness outlines; and
• help with other essential matters as may be needed to prepare for and to take the case to trial.

Successful candidate must be able to integrate quickly into our busy, fast-paced trial team.

This is not a remote position. We expect that the bulk of interactions with us will be face-to-face. This is a high-visibility, high-stakes complex case that is expected to last for up to several months.

Ideal background includes excellent legal research and writing skills, sensitivity to diverse inputs, attention to detail, litigation experience on some level, already barred in North Carolina, ability to withstand pressures of going to trial, excellence in multi-tasking, good time and people management skills and good knowledge of technology.
