Temporary Housing Helpline Manager
The candidate will provide leadership and direction to various aspects of organization's efforts to prevent homelessness. Will report to the Rural Justice Director. Provide substantive and strategic leadership to advocates located in San Joaquin County and the Central Coast with the goal of increasing access to legal services for people who are threatened with homelessness. Support a team of attorney and lay advocates across multiple offices that provide services through an innovative Housing Helpline model. Supervise all legal work and facilitate case review meetings to ensure quality legal services. Recruit, orient, supervise, train, and recognize staff, volunteers, and interns. Provide direct legal services to Housing Helpline clients, and identify opportunities for systemic advocacy. Raise awareness of tenant rights in Helpline service areas. Inform the community of organization and Housing Helpline services. Analyze grant-related data and draft grant reports. Serve as resource for organization staff.
