Duties: The candidate will support medical records administration functions such as proper record-keeping, clinical coding, accurate transcription, and/or medical registries. Will gather and compile data and statistical reports for internal and external use. Provide expertise in technical and administrative areas of records management and quality assurance. Serve as an advisor for various committees, functions, and professional meetings. Provide information on current professional practices in medical records, clinical coding, health services, and third party billing. Identify medical records administration-related opportunities and concerns, notifying proper offices or personnel and taking appropriate action as needed. Perform supervisory or lead duties if appointed to a supervisory or lead position.
