Position Purpose

What’s the role –

This position works with a Senior Projects Process Engineer and supports the development of conceptual design, justification, alternative analysis, and implementation of projects to improve safety, environmental performance, reliability, margin, energy performance and profitability within the Deer Park Site. In addition, this role may support special studies with P&T and other external vendors to provide supplemental technical support to the production organization. This role supports the chemical plant at the Deer Park site.

The job is about identifying growth ideas and working with already identified ones to transform them into opportunities for the company by following the Opportunity Realization Process playing a Process Engineer role. The scope of work is wide and goes from validating business cases to detail engineering design input and start-up support.

Dimensions:

Process engineers within the Process Engineering Projects & Studies group perform a key role in developing projects from initial business case through final implementation and are viewed as leaders of project teams. They have lead responsibility in developing project alternatives, technology selection, economic justification, and process design and support construction and startup as needed. They must work effectively with customers and multidiscipline project teams to deliver successful projects.
