Duties: Prepares cases for trial or administrative proceedings by gathering documents, organizing case file documentation and exhibits, and briefing legal counsel on case issues prior to such proceedings; Analyzes proposed legislation, prepares reports, and drafts legislation for review and approval by legal counsel; Responds to inquiries concerning formal interpretation of agency laws, rules and regulations; Performs related duties such as developing case tracking systems; preparing correspondence; operating office machines; delivering documents and providing additional legal support functions. Assist with responds to public records requests, and subpoenas. Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, opinions, determinations and rulings in order to prepare legal digests detailing the points of law involved; Prepares such legal documents as briefs, summaries, and responses to interrogatories by interviewing relevant parties, reviewing and analyzing facts and points of law, and drafting documents for review and approval by legal counsel.
