Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Miami, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious legal professional interested in civil and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and professional environment with exposure to both state and federal court proceedings, gaining hands-on experience while being mentored by senior attorneys.

Duties:

• Drafting pleadings and motions in civil litigation cases in both state and federal courts.
• Managing discovery processes for civil litigation matters.
• Attending hearings for civil litigation and commercial cases.
• Supporting supervising attorneys in jury and bench trials.
• Building and maintaining a caseload, with opportunities to handle cases independently once competency is demonstrated.
• Communicating and negotiating with opposing counsel.
• Preparing for and participating in client meetings.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Law Review experience is preferred.
• Graduation within the top 25% of the law class.
• Must be admitted to the Bar (candidates who have taken the Bar exam and are awaiting admission will also be considered if they possess outstanding academic credentials).
• A genuine interest in civil and commercial litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar Admission (or pending admission).

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to handle complex legal research.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
