Legal Counsel - Corporate Generalist

The candidate will handle a wide range of legal issues, including drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, advising on product development issues, corporate governance, data privacy and security, and other legal and business matters. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including non-disclosure, software and licensing, consulting, agency, and partnership agreements. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including software licensing, vendor, strategic partnership, insurance agency, consulting, and non-disclosure agreements. Develop and maintain corporate policies and assist with employee training as needed. Counsel broad cross-functional teams on the development of Simply Business’s insurtech platform. Ensure marketing content and materials are accurate, and comply with relevant federal and state regulations. Research and provide expert, ethical and pragmatic advice on legal and regulatory issues. Comfortable managing disputes and litigation. Manage relationships with outside counsel and assist cross-functional work streams and internal departments.
