C.N.A Women's Services Unit: Part-Time Nights
3-12 hour shifts per pay period (every 2 weeks)
Job Summary: Provides direct patient care in the maternity setting, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge. Prepares and compiles records in the Maternity Department. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect
Current certification as a C.N.A. with the State of Utah required.
Previous patient care experience
High School graduate or equivalent.
Medical terminology class.
BCLS within 30 days of hire.
NRP within six months of hire.
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledgeable of medical terminology.
Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients’ rights.
