You will receive on the job training and take part in a structured Training & Development Programme designed to give the skills and competencies required for future graduate roles.Working as part of the Cummins IT Systems team based in Darlington Engine Plant manufacturing site. This role involves partnering with both Manufacturing & Supply Chain business functions to gather and analyse business requirements and priorities resulting in documenting and communicating these objectives for information systems and solutions. This will include working collaboratively with application and technical experts on solution design, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of Information Systems. The placement student will:· Lead small projects and initiatives from requirements definition to delivery.· Support and improve processes through process flow mapping, data collection and analysis, testing and problem solving; involve in production support activities as needed · Support Business / IT Compliance and Internal Controls by preparing and submitting evidence for quarterly Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) compliance reviews.· Generate department metrics and support documentation. · Serve as a resource on large projects and work assignments; employing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding. · Deliver presentations on project deliverables to peers and Senior Management · Gain cross functional experience through involvement in Plant projects and support of corporate initiatives.· Participate in community responsibility and charity initiatives.QualificationsBusiness Information Systems or Business related degree with IT content. Ability to learn, analyse, and understand business and technical processes and demonstrate effective problem solving techniques.Must be a self-motivated team player that demonstrates willingness and ability to learn and develop.Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.General IT proficiency and understanding. Candidates should possess strong Microsoft Office skills.Training Provided:The role will provide excellent experience for your CV and an introduction to a Business Analysis role in industry. A mentor will be assigned to guide you through your year with Cummins and how to get the most from your placement and offer career advice. The following training will be provided;· Structured placement training programme covering presentation, communication, time management and interpersonal skills plus a number of other key topics. · All training relevant to the job role shall be provided.
