CPMC-1824046','Director of Engineering and Facilities Development','!*!JOB SUMMARY:This position provides leadership direction for the Department of Engineering and Facilities to include plant operations and maintenance management and facility design planning and construction. This position will handle the non-patient and technical areas to include plant operations and maintenance, facility projects and coordination of Energy Management Program and ADA facility modification. This position also has overall responsibility for directing all CPMC Facilities Development. The incumbent takes on a leadership role with all project consultants and contractors required for the successful delivery of overall facility projects. Participates in the preparation and administration of departmental capital and operating budgets. Participates as a member of the Director's Council and General Management team. This role reports to VP of Support Services at CPMC and has a dotted line to system lead for facilities and engineering. ','!*!Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is required
Masters degree strongly preferred
Knowledge:Conceptual understanding of the Integrated Service functions required. Knowledge of personnel policies and demonstrated skill in personnel management and development (teaching, coaching, mentoring), ability to execute verbal and written communications effectively, and critical thinking and problem solving skills required. Thorough knowledge of facility planning, project management, strategic and business planning; physician group management, health care administration and operations management within an integrated healthcare delivery system. Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with executives, Boards, and physicians. Must have excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal. Must have excellent problem identification, analysis and resolution skills. Must have the ability to create an environment that encourages cooperation, motivation, innovation, and high performance teamwork. Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to staff. Must be able to communicate complex facility planning information to “lay” stakeholders. Must have strong computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
