Gorrono Ranch Line cooks / Prep Professional

MUST SKI OR SNOWBOARD AT AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

As a Gorrono Line cook/Prep, you will be working in a high volume, yet fun environment. Here is a brief synopsis of what it takes to be a team member of Gorrono Ranch.

Gorrono is open 7 days a week for lunch service.

Opening day is thanksgiving, last day is early April.

The day starts at 8:30am and ends about 5:00pm.

Service starts at 11:00am sharp and ends at 3:30pm

You must be able to pass an on-mountain ski and/or snowboard assessment for this position.

If you have never Skied or Snowboarded you do not qualify for this position.

To be a Line/Prep at Gorrono you must have these attributes:

Attitude - fresh, optimistic, enthusiastic, and service-laced - you are here to serve our guests.

Aptitude - you need to be able to think quickly on your feet, make smart decisions, and learn our menu inside and out.

Adaptability - you won't be successful flying solo- you will be a functioning member of a team, and you need to be willing to lend a helping hand to any teammate at any time.

Availability - we have a variety of shifts available. Most of our teammates work 30-40 hours per week including weekends; flexibility is key. Open availability preferred.

General familiarity of restaurant operation is a plus. Responsible for preparing food items according to standard recipes, while maintaining an organized and clean work station. Properly store all food items to meet sanitation standards.

The job includes but not limited to:

Endure extreme variance of weather conditions, and dress accordingly for all conditions

Lift 50 pounds

Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean

Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals

Proper trash and recycling practices

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized

Know ingredients for flavor profiles and basic cooking techniques.

Able to execute orders in a timely manner and account for all orders properly and accurately

Full knowledge of all menu items

Maintain knowledge of all menu items

Maintain consistent verbal communication with your team members

Guest maintenance, and attention to detail throughout the guests experience

Finish all opening and closing duties on a deadline basis

Must have flexible schedule and availability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays

Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
