Corporate Counsel

The candidate will be responsible for the management and/or supervision of dispute resolution of unpaid claims between firm's entities and their payers. This includes all high-level remedies, including arbitration, ALJ hearings, and other options up to and including filing suit in the appropriate venue. Oversee and manage litigation, administrative proceedings and other regulatory proceedings or matters related to disputed payor claims. Work collaboratively on matters assigned to outside counsel engaged to represent or assist firm, including review, direction and supervision of outside counsel's legal work. Draft all required legal demand letters to payers as may be required by contract in the dispute resolution process. Represent PMH entities in Meet and Confer conferences to discuss and attempt to resolve disputes. Prepare and file cases for arbitration when warranted. Build relationships with key firm's Revenue Cycle, Managed Care (CRC), Case Management, Utilization Review, and other resources that have upstream impact on whether cases reach the legal action stage. Provide feedback based on experience and resolved cases to strengthen our position in future disputes.
