Financial Analysis Manager (Financial Modeling/M&A)
Duties: Proactively gather and synthesize the data deemed necessary to accurately model venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Independently prepare, update and revise financial models related to corporate transactions. Independently respond to inquiries from West Coast deal teams, escalate to Sr. Manager as appropriate. Create financial schedules for merger agreements. Independently prepare waterfall analysis, allocation schedules and pro forma capitalization tables. Manage and review work of Senior Analyst and approve for delivery to Senior Manager. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis with instruction from the Senior Manager. Synthesize financial information and concepts that are communicated verbally and be able to create an Excel model that clearly and accurately reflects the transaction economics. Support internal reporting and knowledge management efforts. Serve as mentor for Senior Analyst. Supervise the Senior Analyst’s work assignments and partner with Senior Manager to ensure consistent level of productivity. Oversee and facilitate the annual review process for the Senior Analyst. Work with Senior Manager to identify opportunities for professional development of Senior Analyst. Work with Senior Manager to develop and implement quality control procedures. Work with Senior Manager to develop and implement best practices around financial modeling. Assist the Senior Manager with various administrative projects as needed.
