The Director, Cyber Security Operations is a key member of Kindred at Home’s Information Security leadership team and directly responsible for the strategy, roadmap and execution of the Cyber Security Operations function. The Director, Cyber Security Operations is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of key programs including Cyber Detection & Response, Threat & Vulnerability Management, and Data Protection.

This position requires a strategic leader with strong collaboration skills, detailed working knowledge of security technologies and leading practices, and familiarity in leading a diverse operational team in maintaining compliance for a regulated business environment. This position serves as the primary owner of all operational activities related to the ongoing management and monitoring of security technologies. The Director, Cyber Security Operations must be highly knowledgeable about the business environment and must ensure that information systems are proactively maintained in a fully functional, secure mode.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:

Define and implement operational roadmap for Information Security services and drive efforts to validate that strategic direction is aligned with business objectives

Lead the Cyber Security Operations Center responsible for monitoring and responding to cyber and information security incidents

Lead the Cyber Security Incident Response process and assist with disciplinary and legal matters resulting from security investigations

Establish and mature the Threat & Vulnerability Management Program including identifying, assessing, and driving remediation of security vulnerabilities

Proactively monitor threat intelligence as it pertains to the Company brand, technology and operations, and provide timely reporting based on gathered information

Lead the lifecycle management of a diverse security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure web gateways, host/endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, SIEM and DLP

Actively participate in key business collaboration groups representing information security interests

Develop and maintain partnerships with key vendors to ensure that service levels are understood and met

Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term security needs

Research and recommend emerging security technologies and tools to address current and future threats

Serve as subject matter expert to internal business and IT partners

Required Experience/Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline

CISSP certification desired

Minimum 10 years experience in information security

Minimum 5 years experience with talent management

Proven experience with current and emerging security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure web gateways, endpoint security, vulnerability scanners, SIEM and DLP

Proven experience with managing technical operational functions

Proven experience with information security best practices

Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Highly self motivated and directed professional, with keen attention to detail

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment

Strong customer service and solution-focused orientation

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
